Is this a GS1 transport label or SSCC?

No. The generator creates simple Code 128 labels. It does not issue a GS1 company prefix or a certified SSCC.

Why can’t all text fit in the barcode?

The supported Code 128 character set is limited. Article descriptions can appear as visible text without forming part of the barcode payload.

Is a generated barcode automatically scannable?

No. Scanner, print resolution, size, contrast and quiet zones affect readability. Test a print with your actual scanner before printing a series.

Unique barcode per package

With unique identification enabled, -P plus the global package number is always appended. This keeps codes unique even for repeated articles. Without it, packages share the same base barcode.

Placeholders: {code} / {article} / {index} / {total} / {row}. Printable ASCII characters only. Long content needs wider labels.

Font size is reduced down to 2 mm. If the text does not fit, an error appears.

Barcode & printing

Code 128 B with weighted checksum, start/stop symbols and ten-module quiet zones on each side. Minimum module width is 0.25 mm; overly dense barcodes are rejected. These are custom package labels, not GS1, SSCC or carrier labels.

Choose actual size / 100% in the print dialog and disable headers/footers. For thermal printing, also select the configured paper size in the printer driver. Preview and browser printing may differ from the printer: print and scan a test label.
