Transparent day counting
Chargeable days = max(0, total counted days − free days). Each progressive tier applies only to its own interval. Calendar dates are validated in UTC; including both endpoints gives date difference + 1, excluding the end gives the difference. Identical start and end dates give 1 or 0 days respectively. Weekends and holidays are included.
The selected fee type is calculated separately. Your contractual counting and tariff terms govern the calculation.
